The Role

Epworth Eastern are currently seeking flexible Scrub Scout Registered Nurses to join a dedicated and enthusiastic department, to fill a variety of shifts, full time, part time and casual positions avaliable.
Epworth Eastern is an expanding and dynamic health care facility with 10 theatres. When you join our team you will be welcomed into an environment that cares for its employees and prides itself on providing excellence in patient centered care.
Annual base salary range for full time (38 hours a week): Registered Nurse (depending on year level) – AUD $61,360 pa to AUD $82,837 pa. Pro rata is paid for part time.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Extensive experience (for example 3 years) Perioperative or Perianaesthesia clinical experience.
- Current registration with AHPRA
- Commitment to learning and developing current clinical practice
- Best practice in delivering patient centred care
- Well-developed understanding of relevant professional standards
- Flexibility and excellent organisation and communication skills
- The ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic team environment
- Post graduate qualifications in Perioperative/ Perianaesthesia nursing (highly regarded)

Epworth Eastern
Located in Box Hill, Epworth Eastern is a state-of-the-art private hospital which features an eight bed ICU, 10 bed HDU/CCU and 10 operating theatres.
Epworth Eastern maintains a broad clinical focus from cardiac, vascular, orthopaedic and general surgery to oncology, urology, endoscopy services as well as a brand new renal dialysis and day medical unit. From consultation and detection through to surgery, Epworth Eastern aims to work with patients and their families to ensure they have the best experience possible.
Epworth Eastern has commenced its expansion and redevelopment, which will see the construction of the 14 storey East Wing Tower, delivering additional beds, theatres, consulting rooms and an Australian-first Traditional Chinese Medicine offering. The expansion will also see a brand new private emergency department for Melbourne’s east.
Epworth Eastern’s expansion includes the opening of two new sites: Epworth Eastern Ekera and Epworth Eastern Kew. Epworth Eastern Ekera offers opportunities within its purpose-built day procedure unit, focusing on IVF and other minor procedures. Epworth Eastern Kew features three theatres, a procedural room; as well as day surgery, overnight beds and consulting suites. Epworth Eastern Kew will operate until the completion of the hospital’s East Wing Tower in 2021.

This included our brand new endoscopy theatre which will provide a variety of endoscopic procedures amongst our other theatre specialties which include gynaecology, general surgery, plastics, urology, maxillofacial, ENT, orthopaedics and robotics.
The successful candidate must be able to work a rotating roster across Monday to Saturday.
