The Role
Epworth Freemasons Day Procedure Centre has 5 theatres and 1 endoscopy unit, and provides a variety of procedures including major/minor gynaecology, obstetrics, general surgery, plastics, urology, oral max, endoscopy, and ophthalmology.
We are seeking a motivated, innovative and patient-care orientated Associate Nurse Unit Manager to join our perioperative leadership team as a leader in the Endoscopy speciality. The role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dedicated peri-operative Endoscopy nurse, to lead the team delivering high standard gastroenterology care. This is also a great opportunity to develop professionally in a leadership role whilst making a difference to the patient experience.
Epworth Freemasons Day Procedure Centre provides a variety of procedures in the Endoscopy Unit, including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, flexible cystoscopy, PH studies, urodynamic, and anorectal manometry.
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate must be able to work a rotating roster across Monday to Saturday and possess:
- Current nursing registration with AHPRA
- Clinical Peri-Operative experience in Endoscopy
- Queensland endoscope reprocessing certificate (highly desirable)
- Great communication, time management and excellent customer service skills
- Passion about patient care and achieving high quality clinical outcomes
- A personal commitment to ongoing education and development
- Experience in processing endoscopes including leak testing, manual washing, reprocessing (highly desirable)

Epworth Freemasons Clarendon Street campus boasts an 8 theatre suite Perioperative Department, with co-located Day of Surgery Admissions centre and Short Stay Unit. We have 24 hour on site medical staff, a dedicated educator and a close knit, experienced nursing team making Epworth Freemasons ICU a great place to work.
Skills & Experience
Successful candidates will possess:
- Experience in an ICU setting, able to demonstrate superior critical care nursing skills
- Post Graduate qualifications in Critical/Intensive Care Nursing (preferred)
- Well developed interpersonal and communication skills
