The Role
In this full-time role based in our state-of-the-art facility located in Geelong, you will assist in the development and delivery of excellence in Emergency Medicine.
Reporting to the Director of Emergency Medicine, you will provide governance and strategic vision, and operational leadership to a committed and diverse Emergency team.
You will make an impact by:
- Providing meaningful supervision, advice and mentoring to all other staff to support the delivery of excellence in service delivery
- Leading the enhancement and expansion of emergency service provision
- Effectively collaborating with others to ensure safe patient handover
- Assisting in Emergency Department governance, QA and Audit activity
Skills and Experience
You are an experienced FACEM looking to take a step into a senior leadership role. A natural leader and communicator, you take a respectful consultative approach that promotes effective teamwork and patient safety.
Passionate and committed to patient-centred care, you take a vested interest in the development of your team knowing the positive impact this will have.
You will have:
- A strong passion for promoting a high level of customer service
- Fellowship with the Australian College of Emergency Medicine (FACEM)
- Demonstrated experience as a senior consultant in an emergency department
- A demonstrated commitment to developing yourself as a medical leader

Epworth Geelong
Located in Waurn Ponds, our growing hospital proudly services the greater Geelong community. Our perioperative service has eight operating theatres which includes a Hybrid Theatre and incorporates a Day Surgery Unit, Cath Lab and two Endoscopy suites. Our theatres provide excellent care to patients undergoing Robotic, Orthopaedic, General, Gynaecological and Obstetrics, Neurosurgical, Colorectal, ENT, Ophthalmology, Oral Maxillofacial, Plastics, Urology, Vascular surgical procedures and more.
