Epworth HealthCare is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Health Information Managers/Clinical Coders to join our expanding Coding and Casemix team.
We are seeking professionals who are wanting to expand their career, enhance their skill set and have a desire to actively contribute to a highly proficient Coding and Casemix Team, to join us at Epworth HealthCare.
Part and full time positions are available at Epworth's Richmond and Geelong campuses. The successful applicants will be exposed to a diverse Casemix with specialities including Cardiothoracic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Interventional Cardiology, Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Oncology, Obstetrics and Rehabilitation.

As well, you will participate in Epworth HealthCare’s Coding Induction Program, be supported by Epworth HealthCare’s Coding Educators with training and continuous education and be joining a dedicated and highly competent team of Health Information Managers/Clinical Coders.
Epworth HealthCare has implemented BOSSnet DMR across all campuses. The successful applicants will be coding from a scanned medical record.

Responsibilities of this position include:
- Accurately code, index and group episodes using ICD-10-AM, ACHI and the Australian Coding Standards utilising 3M Codefinder software
- Ensure all records are coded within specified timeframes
- Participation in quality and education activities including Internal Coding Audit processes
- Attend and actively participate at coding meetings and education sessions.
To be successful for this role you will have:
- Proven high quality coding skills with an excellent knowledge of the Australian Coding Standards
- An appropriate tertiary qualification in Health Information Management or equivalent (applicants who have completed the HIMAA coding course or equivalent will also be considered)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Previous experience in either the public or private health sector as well as experience with private sector funding models and using iSoft and 3M Codefinder would be advantageous.
