It is an exciting time to join Epworth Freemasons, having only recently been upgraded we have commenced a major redevelopment that will represent a generational change for our Clarendon Street hospital with construction underway to provide more consulting suites, operating theatres and improvements to patient amenity.
We are constructing a 12-level tower and buildings that will link to create significant onsite consulting opportunities for specialists, additional state-of-the-art theatres, expanded oncology services and extensive underground on-site car parking. We are also upgrading our maternity service facilities at our Victoria Parade campus in 2018.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Health Information Manager to fill the role of Site HIS Manager at Epworth Freemasons. Reporting to the Group Manager of HIS & Patient Revenue, the successful applicant will lead a team of Clerical staff (7.8 eft) and manage all aspects of the day to day operations of the department. This position will also be responsible for the management of medical record forms across all Epworth HealthCare acute sites.
The successful applicant will provide strong leadership with a dedicated focus on achieving both financial and service delivery KPIs.
This is a unique opportunity for a Senior Health Information Manager seeking an exciting role to make their own.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in the role you will have:
- A Bachelor of Health Information Management (equivalent/higher)
- Extensive (eg three years) work experience of which one year has been in a management and leadership role
- Experience and quality Clinical Coding skills with a good working knowledge of the Australian Coding Standards
- Experience with Private Sector Funding Models
- Knowledge of relevant Legislation and Standards
- A high level of computer literacy
- Exceptional customer service skills
