The Role

Multiple opportunities exist for Enrolled Nurses to join the Epworth Eastern team through our Transition to Acute Care program.

Through the use of multiple educational and learning strategies, you will be supported through a clinical refresher program and transition to the acute care sector. This program will feature a 12-week course in conjunction with the Australian College of Nurses to support your upskilling through clinical teaching, supervision and assessment of acute care skills.

Upon successful completion, you will be welcomed to join one of our committed and dynamic wards at Epworth Eastern with the option of flexible hours during an exciting period of growth.

To be successful in this role…

You will be an Enrolled Nurse who has been out of the acute care setting for between 2-5 years with the ambition to once again provide care to the acutely unwell. Alternatively, you will be an Enrolled Nurse having worked in a non-acute care setting wishing to update your acute nursing skill set.

You will have

  • Current nursing registration with AHPRA
  • Willingness to undertake a 12-week course thorugh Australian College of Nurses commencing March 2022
  • Australian working rights
  • A passion for acute patient care and achieving high quality clinical outcomes

About Eastern

Located in Box Hill, Epworth Eastern is a state-of-the-art facility and includes an 8 bed ICU, 10 bed HDU/CCU and 10 theatres. Epworth Eastern maintains a broad clinical focus from cardiac, vascular, orthopaedic and general surgery to oncology, urology and endoscopy services. 

Epworth Eastern has commenced its expansion and redevelopment, which will see the construction of the 14 storey East Wing Tower, delivering additional beds, theatres and  consulting rooms.
