The Role

This Food Services Supervisor position at Epworth HealthCare, is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced and driven ‘people leader’ who is passionate about food and great patient/customer experience through great tasting, fresh and healthy food.

Joining an exceptional leadership team in this busy, leading-edge, room service, delivery operation, you will love leading and developing our teams (of awesome people) and being an example and inspiration to them all. 

 

Based at Epworth Camberwell, you will work directly with the Hospitality Services Operations Manager to both maintain and build on quality service expectations for our valued patients, doctors and visitors.  

 

Through careful planning and direction, you will be responsible for ensuring our Food Services team of 30+ people are motivated, trained and well equipped to achieve the highest standards of food service delivery.

 

You will make an impact by:

• Supervising the daily Front of House operations across Food Services and Functions

• Anticipating and responding to Food Service and Functions enquiries in a professional and empathetic manner

• Training, mentoring, coaching and developing the skills of the Food Services Team

• Leading and motivating the Food Services Team throughout meal service

• Ensuring the compliance of workplace health, safety & well-being and Food Safety policies and procedures

• Participating in the setting up of staff rosters

You will have

• Previous strong food supervisory experience, preferably within a health care or hospitality setting

• An undisputed passion for great customer service, are already a terrific role model to others

• Results driven and committed to delivering on and responding compassionately and professionally to the needs of our patients

• Excellent interpersonal skills, high emotional intelligence, are kind and able to communicate clearly, confidently and courteously with staff, patients, doctors, management and suppliers

• An organised approach to work and able to plan and work consistently and effectively in a busy environment

• Strong problem-solving skills with a willingness and eagerness to contribute to solutions, with a hunger to learn more
