About Freemasons
Located in East Melbourne, close to public transport and the CBD, Epworth Freemasons provides a range of world-class health services at two campuses in East Melbourne.  Epworth Freemasons main campus on Albert street specialises in women’s and men’s health services including breast and gynaecological surgery, endoscopy, urology, oncology, and a full range of surgical services, including robotic assisted surgery, orthopaedics and ICU care. 

 

At Epworth Freemasons smaller campus on Victoria Parade is where our Maternity Unit is located which offers a dynamic space for expectant mothers and their families to have their baby with all maternity specialities available.

 

The Programs
Joining our 2022 Graduate Maternity Programs, working part-time across 8 days per fortnight, you will be welcomed into an environment that cares. You will have access to a designated onsite Graduate Maternity Coordinator, Educators and Facilitators who will be available to answer your questions and provide you with support and guidance with your transition from Student Nurse / Midwife to Graduate Nurse / Midwife with Epworth HealthCare.

 

Registered Midwife Graduate Program

  • 12-month program individually tailored within a clinical learning framework
  • Specific Midwifery orientation program to help you settle in to the maternity unit
  • Clinical rotations across all maternity specialities: Post Natal, Birth Suite and Special Care Nursery 

 

Combined Midwife / Nurse Graduate Program

  • 18-month structured program of 3 x 6 month rotations 
  • Specific combined Nurse / Midwifery orientation program to help you settle 
  • Clinical rotations across Acute Surgical wards , Post Natal, Birth Suite and Special Care Nursery

 

The program offers you the flexibility to complete rotations across all specialty areas and is the perfect opportunity for you to start and grow your maternity career and work with Victoria’s leading private healthcare group. You will develop a sense of belonging and begin your transition into becoming a confident and competent Registered Nurse / Midwife. 

 

What you need
To be eligible for our graduate program, you will need:

  • Anticipate being granted AHPRA registration
  • Be on-track to successfully complete your 2021 Nursing / Midwifery degree and or Post Graduate Diploma of Midwifery Course
  • Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency; OR New Zealand Citizenship
