Epworth Freemasons is currently upgrading and expanding its operating theatres and admissions facilities, along with major refurbishments of patient rooms and building infrastructure. Future developments will create additional state-of-the-art theatres, expanded oncology services and extensive on-site car parking for staff and doctors.

 

Are you an experienced Haematology/Oncology nurse looking for a unique opportunity to make a difference to patient care?

 

Due to ongoing expansion of our comprehensive cancer services, Epworth Freemasons is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurse with Haematology and Oncology experience, committed to providing exceptional care of the patient undergoing chemotherapy. Exciting changes are planned to expand our Oncology/Haematology services in 2016 and we are seeking outstanding nurses to assist in the provision of care to our valued patients. The Day Oncology Unit is a 15 chair and 3 bed unit located in the Victoria Parade Campus. We provide care for Oncology and Haematology patients as well as other conditions requiring specialist infusional care. Our team are exceptionally patient focused and passionate about providing individualised care.

 

To be successful in this position you will demonstrate:

  • Excellent clinical skills specific to Haematology/Oncology nursing
  • Well developed time management and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Commitment to your professional development 
  • Effectively working within a team focused environment
  • Proficiency in using various IT systems 

You will have:

  • Current nursing registration with APRHA
  • Working Rights to work in Australia
  • Strong commitment to delivering the best in patient care and safety
  • Demonstrated clinical excellence
  • Significant experience in an ambulatory Oncology/Haematology environment
  • Current competence and certificate in administration of Cytotoxic agents
  • Ability to  lead by example, to be part of a dynamic team and be ready to join the best in Private Health Care Providers in Melbourne!

Candidates will ideally have Post Graduate qualifications in Oncology or Haematology or be working towards this.
