Multiple opportunities exist for experienced and enthusiastic Scrub Scouts to join our friendly, dynamic and growing Perioperative Services at team at Epworth Eastern. The completion of Epworth Eastern's redevelopment in early 2022 will grow the hospital to accommodate additional theatre spaces, including a brand-new hybrid theatre.

Located in Box Hill, Epworth Eastern maintains a broad clinical focus from cardiac, vascular, orthopaedic and general surgery to oncology, urology and endoscopy services. We have a variety of opportunities available for Enrolled and Registered Nurses on a part time and full time basis, including morning and afternoon shifts.

You will make an impact by:

  • Providing a high level of nursing care to your patient during their theatre journey.
  • Assessing, planning, coordinating and evaluating the care delivery needs of patients.
  • Monitoring the condition of patients during procedures and reporting changes.

You will have:

  • Extensive clinical exprience and skills as a Perioperative Scrub Scout 
  • Experience within Cardiac, Vascular and/or Othopaedic Specialties will be highly regarded
  • Current nursing registration with AHPRA.
  • A well-developed understanding of relevant professional standards.
  • Passion for delivering the best in patient care and safety.

Located in Box Hill, Epworth Eastern is a state-of-the-art facility and includes an 8 bed ICU, 10 bed HDU/CCU and 10 theatres. Epworth Eastern maintains a broad clinical focus from cardiac, vascular, orthopaedic and general surgery to oncology, urology and endoscopy services. 

Epworth Eastern has commenced its expansion and redevelopment, which will see the construction of the 14 storey East Wing Tower, delivering additional beds, theatres and  consulting rooms.
