Position Summary
  • Individually tailored 12-month program with various rotations

The Program 
Joining our Registered Nurse 2022 Graduate Program, you will be welcomed into an environment that cares for its people. Through your 12-month program, you will develop a sense of belonging and begin your transition into becoming a confident and competent Registered Nurse. 

 

Sitting within a clinical framework, your program offers a part-time rotating roster across 4 days per week with the flexibility to complete rotations in critical care, surgical, medical, oncology, operating rooms, day surgery, rehabilitation and more. 

 

A multi-tiered approach to your support sees you have access to a designated onsite Graduate Coordinator, Educators, Preceptors and Clinical Specialists who will be available to answer your questions and connect you in with other people across Epworth.

 

The Locations
The Registered Nurse program is offered at all five hospital locations (let us know in the application process which location or locations you are applying to)

 

Epworth Eastern 

  • Located in Box Hill and very accessible by public transport
  • Redevelopment nearing completion which includes new theatres and additional clinical specialties 
  • Guarantee you will get one of your top two rotation preferences
  • Personalised clinical support network with endless learning opportunities and career planning
  • Intakes in both February and May – let us know your preference in your cover letter

 

Epworth Freemasons 

  • Located in East Melbourne, close to the CBD and public transport
  • Recently undergone a major redevelopment which saw an increase in bed numbers and theatres
  • Variety of acute specialities for rotations
  • Graduated workload to assist with transitioning from student to Registered Nurse 
  • Dedicated Education team to support your learning
  • Intakes in both February and July – let us know your preference in your cover letter

 

Epworth Geelong

  • Located in Waurn Ponds, adjacent to Deakin University
  • Expanding clinical services delivering exceptional patient and staff experience
  • Access to our purpose built, well equipped Simulation and Clinical Education Precinct
  • Offers a challenging, collegial and supportive learning environment
  • February intake 

 

 

Epworth Richmond

  • Located on Bridge Road, Richmond, close to the CBD
  • Hosting 650 acute inpatient beds and caring for 29,000+ patients per year
  • Broad variety of surgeries coupled with medical and oncology specialties matching the major public hospitals for acuity
  • Access to professional and academic pathways during and after your graduate year 
  • Onsite library services and clinical simulation activities to support your program
  • Intakes in both February and April – let us know your preference in your cover letter

 

Epworth Rehabilitation 

  • Four locations – Brighton, Hawthorn, Camberwell & Richmond – all accessible by public transport
  • Develop skills in specialist rehabilitation nursing
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team environment 
  • Opportunity for a rotation in Mental Health 

 

What you need
To be eligible for our graduate program, you will need:

  • Be on-track to successfully complete your 2021 nursing degree (Bachelors or Masters)
  • Anticipate being granted AHPRA registration
  • Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency; OR New Zealand Citizenship
