About the role

We are seeking motivated, innovative and patient-care orientated Registered Nurses and Endorsed Enrolled Nurses to join our Orthopaedic scrub/scout team and play an integral role in our growing surgical services. Epworth Geelong has opened with seven theatres, including a Hybrid Theatre, our perioperative services also includes a day surgery (DOSA), Cath Lab and Endoscopy suite. This role is an exciting opportunity for flexible, patient-centred Orthopaedic scrub/scout registered nurses and endorsed enrolled nurses to grow with our Orthopaedic surgical services.

 

Key areas of focus for this role include:

  • Delivering an exceptional patient experience within perioperative services
  • Providing high standards of nursing care
  • Encouraging and role-modelling empathy to patients, families and surgeons 

About you

To be successful in the role you will:

  • Hold current nursing registration with AHPRA
  • Have a contemporary knowledge of best practice in perioperative procedures and the patient journey
  • Have a contemporary knowledge of best practice in orthopaedic surgery
  • Be highly accountable and demonstrate a strong, supportive and engaging style
  • Be passionate about patient care and achieving high quality clinical outcomes
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and collaborative approach
  • Be energetic for the potential of both the role and opportunities at Epworth Geelong
