Position Summary

 

Epworth HealthCare's Health Information Services (HIS) Department is seeking a Health Information Services Clerk to join our Freemasons campus located in East Melbourne. The available shifts are Tuesday to Friday 10am to 6pm (30hrs per week). The successful applicant may also be required to work some Mondays from 10am to 6pm. 

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Scanning paper-based patient medical records using BOSSnet Digital Medical Record system
  • Responding to record requests
  • Answering phone enquiries
  • Responding to information requests in accordance with the department's release of information guidelines
  • Collecting, scanning and re-directing mail
  • Performing general department duties as required

Key Criteria:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Can work independently and in a team environment
  • Good attention to detail
  • Able to multi-task and to organise work accordingly

Desirable (non essential):

  • Previous medical record experience
  • Experience with iPM and BOSSnet Digital Medical Record system
  • Sound knowledge of medical terminology
