The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and talented People & Culture professional to join the team at Epworth Geelong on a fixed term basis, currently 12 months, due to an impending maternity leave.
Reporting directly to the Senior People & Culture Manager, and working in partnership with the Geelong Leadership Team and Managers, this true generalist and hands on role will contribute to developing best practice strategic and operational people practices across a hospital service with a growing reputation for outstanding patient centred care.
With specialist assistance from a well-regarded corporate People & Culture team, you will be responsible for providing all facets of contemporary and best practice human resources (HR) services, with a focus on recruitment aligned to workforce planning, orientation and onboarding, engagement and culture development, as well as safety and wellbeing, performance management, and employee relations.
Above all, you will have a key facilitation role in enabling Epworth to attract and recruit the best people, as well as engage and retain a highly committed, capable and customer focused workforce.
Skills & Experience
Tertiary qualified, you will have a proven track record and substantial experience at the People & Culture Advisor level, in medium to large organisations. Previous health industry experience would be well regarded, though not essential as well as:
- Highly effective business acumen and relationship management
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation capabilities
- Sound internal consulting, influencing, negotiation, conflict resolution
- Industrial instrument interpretation
- Employee relations management skills
